How shop shelving can increase retail sales

Good use of shop shelving is an easy way to freshen up your internal store merchandising. The latest systems and accessories make this relatively easy.

When you do a good job you will see customers moving from one display to another quite naturally.You will also notice a smooth flow of traffic because shop shelving allows you to segment your stock by a theme.

Wall displays and floor display are entirely different and have different functions.A good floor display will maximize your floor space so people can more freely walk around the store,.Wall displays on the other hand, are seen from afar and theming them up can attract a customers from as much as 50 feet away.

Folded clothing works particularly well on shop shelving and with a tiered shelving effect creates an attractive focus of attention.Combination racks allow you the option of both folded and hanging displays

The best display space for clothing are the store walls. The more garments a store has on the walls, the less it has to keep out on the sales floor, and the more clear the floor is, the easier it is for consumers to get around and see. Gridwall and Slatwall are the most common types of wall displays because they provide very versatile display options.

Consider the system and accessories on offer before you start setting up your new store look. For example there are several different sizes and styles of arm racks and clothing hooks to consider.Take a look at other shops to see how they are doling it and copy or improve on them.

Mannequins are also a critical part of retail layout, showing the customer how any given garments might be worn. These mannequins come in many varieties, including freestanding, full and half forms and heads, any of which can be placed either out on the sales floor itself or on a display table for added effect.
