Colorado Snow and More

Snow is something that many people enjoy especially since there are numerous snow sports that can be done. Colorado which is located in the rocky mountain areas is a state is abounding in snow. With only half of the state being flat and a great climate it has proven to be perfect for all those winter sports that people love doing which include skiing and snowboarding.

With about three hundred days of sunshine Colorado still has a fair amount of snow fall; averaging a hundred plus inches per year depending on which area you are in. Its terrain has been known to be the most skiable terrain among all states. With more or less twenty six ski areas to choose from you can do both downhill skiing and all three types of cross country skiing.

There are other sports that you can do in the snow. Aside from your classic downhill skiing you also have the option of cross country skiing in Colorado using all three different styles. There is also snowboarding which is very popular with the younger ones. If you like animals and snow then dog sledding is definitely what you will want to be doing while you are in Colorado.

Other than the many snow sports you surely can't miss the festivals and shows that happen in Colorado. These can range from carnivals that will help you have a blast partying down to craft shows and fairs. Craft shows and fairs can be the perfect place for you to find that one of a kind keepsake that will remind you of your trip. You can also find things to bring back for family and friends here.
